Meander, Reflect -- take time to immerse

Kista Tucker Insights, a professional movement arts company established in New York more than 15 years ago, will perform at The Kennedy Center
in Washington, DC on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are free. The concert titled, Meander, Reflect--take time to immerse
highlights four of Tucker's most memorable works.

About the Concert

Company members from New York, Texas, Kentucky, Maryland, and Virginia gather together to share their love of movement.
This hour-long concert features four dances from the company's repertory -- Trio, choreographed in New York in 1995; Obstacles
(an excerpt from Postcards from Virginia) created in Virginia just last year; Genevieve of the Woods choreographed in New York in 2009;
and finally Snow, an intriguing work created in Texas in 2005 and since set on more than ten different companies throughout the US and the UK.

About the Company

Kista Tucker Insights (AKA: Kista Tucker Dance, Inc.) was founded in 1995 in upstate New York. Since then, the company's base traveled
to Washington, DC as Tucker moved to teach at The George Washington University and at the University of Maryland, College Park.
After Tucker completed a Visiting Professor Position in DC, Texas became the home base as the company became a resident company at
Sam Houston State University. In 2007 the Rochester, NY area became the new station to create and perform. While there, the company
incorporated as a non-profit, tax-exempt organization. And now, KTI is in residency at Creative Dance Center, based in
Northern Virginia. Where Kista Tucker goes, so goes the company.

Company goals include producing several projects including: The Korean War Veterans Memorial Project, a series of PTSD Benefit Concerts,
The David Lynch Project: Randolph County, and the annual Kista Tucker Summer Intensives. The power of artistic physical movement
can accomplish unbelievable feats.
