(M.A., M.F.A., C.M.A., R.S.M.E.) Director of the Kista Tucker Dance, Inc., Kista has performed and presented her work throughout the US, Europe, Japan, Mexico, and Canada. She has a wide range of performance experiences, from a major role in Kurt Joost’s The Green Table to Tucker’s own Fractured.She received over $36,500.00 toward creating and touring a choreographic project based on the Korean War Veterans Memorial located in Washington, DC. Tucker is on the LIMS Management Committee, the CORD Board of Directors, is a former member of the Bill Evans Dance Company, has taught in his summer intensives, and is an instructor with the Eastwest Somatics Institute. She has taught at George Washington University in Washington, DC, Sam Houston State University, SUNY Brockport, the University of South Florida, and continues to do guest artist work at several other universities. Tucker has presented her work at LIMS, IADMS, CORD, NDEO, and other conferences/events. She was LIM’s CMA of the Month in 2005. She conducts workshops, acts in the capacity of Guest Artist, and is currently working on publishing her KT Warm-Up project. Tucker has received numerous awards and commissions. |
